Best coat shape for an extreme apple?

Would love some help figuring out what I should be looking for, pleeeeease?

Extremely apple shaped. Basically I'm a baked bean with stick arms and stick legs.

Anything that fits me round the waist drowns me everywhere else.

Oh - and I'd love to look as if I do have a bit of a waist! And not too long as need to have skinny legs out for balance at all times.

Styles. Smart parka style up to a formal wool coat. Nothing that looks like a raincoat. Not fur, or massively padded as I have enough of that of my own

Budget around £100. Dark coloured - prefer navy or dark green to black. Probably need a size 18 to encompass the baked bean.

Can anybody very wise help me out with this dilemma?

I don't know, but this'll bump for you. IME a lot of coats are cut weirdly, and don't give a shape, so I'm looking forward to some answers!

I’m very appley and two sizes bigger. I have a coat from M&S in this shape but shorter (mine is several years old but this shows the shape)

I think I need something a little smarter / more structured, that I could wear over a business dress, for example. Looking those suggested silhouettes now

My favourite coat ever was a very simple single breasted slightly fitted midi in wool, avoid checks, double buttons and belts. Cocoons are good, but can just accentuate the appley ness.picture shows the shape. I preferred it longer Got rid of my Beauty when ruthlessly culling coats after 2 mild winters. Miss it so much.
