Stretchy Black Evening Trousers

I’m on the bigger side ( size 18 to 20) & short ( 5ft 2”) & am looking for some really comfortable black trousers. DD recommends flares but I’m open to any suggestions. I have loads of leggings but after something smarter for Christmas gatherings.

Not dressy dressy, but Yours Clothing do some ribbed stretchy bootcut black trousers that are my work wardrove staple, if you're very much a leggings only lady, then they might be smart enough for what you're after. They are my favourite place for tracking down a stretchy trouser (I can't wear solid waistbands due to sensory issues and a really sensitive scar on my lumbar spine), quite a few options in their "Christmas Looks" section.

My cousin (size 16) wore these velvet slim fit trousers to a do at the weekend with a sparkly top & she looked fab.

From M&S last year I bought size 16 slim leg ankle grazer black trousers for wearing with nice tops & heels, they are comfy to wear but stylish to look at.

I just got some wide leg jersey trousers from M&S, very comfortable and could be dressed up or down.

Be careful with washing with the cheaper trousers from m&s I brought 2 pairs of the ones that had a stripe down the sides, I think they were £15 both faded badly with the first wash.
