Parka coat for swan!

Hi All - looking for recommendations please for a winter coat with hood. I have a long neck (hence the swan reference!) and always find hoods are minuscule and don't stay up so I might as well not have bothered with a hood at all. Would love one of those coats with fur trim but would settle for a coat with a hood that will actually keep me dry without the need for an umbrella. I'm hoping to be warm, dry and handsfree this winter! Many thanks for your suggestions.

I have a similar issue in that I have a big head, so hoods are usually too small.

I have found that coats from proper 'outdoors' companies have hoods designed to be worn over climbing helmets, so fit much better, e.g. Rab, Patagonia, Black Diamond, Mountain Equipment.

I hate carrying an umbrella so have recently bought a gorgeous Ilse Jacobsen rain coat. It’s nice and long with a great hood that keeps me lovely and dry.

My Didriksons Erika Parka has a positively enormous hood (it does adjust though). I think my neck is fairly average but I do have a giant head, and the unadjusted hood flops down to the end of my nose.
