Help me with jeans and boots

I’m not a S&B native, I don’t know much about fashion, but I do ok. I’m a size 16/18 pear/hourglass shape.

I tend to wear straight leg jeans, as skinny ones make me look like I have parsnips for legs. This is all good in spring and summer when I wear converse. But winter is trickier with boots.

I have DMs, which I love. At the moment I roll up the bottoms of straight leg jeans a bit to wear them. But I’m not sure I feel right. I dunno whether it’s self consciousness or knowing it looks daft.

Any suggestions for boots with jeans that won’t make me feel silly?

I wear straight jeans not rolled up with DM boots, mainly because I don't have long legs, but either turned up a little or not is fine by me.

What about something like this where the opening is a bit wider so your trousers don't bunch up if you don't roll them up? Maybe not that colour https://www.deichmann.com/en-gb/p-m01631860/0163186000000005?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIz427za2K-wIVHurtCh1xwTzEAQYByABEgLPHfDD_BwE

The way you're wearing them sounds perfect

I wear straight with a turn up and dm boots

I like a chunky Chelsea boot with a straight leg and turn up.

I feel my DMs only look right with a slimmer leg, but I wear leggings and big boots for walking so I may be swayed by that.

A slim bootleg of the right length looks nice with the Chelsea too imo.

Can't do a thing with wide leg jeans 😆
