As title says :)

I'm a tired mum to a young daughter and returning to work next month. My skin is looking tired. I have been using the Estée Lauder watery glow primer which has been lovely, but before I go ahead and buy another one, I just want to ask the wise MNetters if there is one that I just have to buy?

I had a random thought earlier - does the beauty flash balm still exist? Is it still worth it's weight in gold?

I only wear a nice dewy primer, bit of mascara and concealer daily.

I've switched from ELDW to the Elf illuminating primer

Isn’t primer just a base for foundation? Interested to know what it does on its own.

Some can be worn on their own. For me I find it smoothes my skin and gives me a glow (the ones that are dewy/radiant etc).^^

Charlotte tilbury flawless filter for me, I use as a base if I want a glowy look and also as a highlight on my high points, it's fab.

ZaZathecat · 30/10/2022 20:16

Collection illuminating primer gives a very slight shimmer. I feel better as soon as I put it on. Only about £5 too.

Mummyteedum · 30/10/2022 20:19

Beauty flash balm is not the same. It doesn't smell the same and is more gel like now. Confused

FlickyCrumble · 30/10/2022 20:28

Boots 17 do a nice one. I was also a massive fan of Clarins flash balm but 17 does the trick.

ChecoPerez · 30/10/2022 21:48

I did have a look last night and saw that BFB has changed formula and loads of folk complaining. I might try the 17 one :)

To PP, I've tried Charlotte tilbury flawless filter but it was too much as a highlighter for my skin tone sadly. I've still got it in my Make up bag - probably expired lol! But it's good as a highlight as you say.

EstellaRijnveld · 30/10/2022 22:39

I mix a drop of Maybelline illuminating primer with moisturiser and a drop of It cosmetics CC+ cream. This gives a natural, your skin but better look without looking overdone.

asparalite · 30/10/2022 22:48

Elf halo glow is well reviewed a dupe for the CT flawless filter.

PARunnerGirl · 30/10/2022 22:50

Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter for me too. Sometimes as a primer but sometimes just on its own. So dewy and gorgeous!

DoubleShotEspresso · 30/10/2022 22:57

Glow recipe watermelon serum is a fabulously dewy base for makeup

Thanks @ChecoPerez
