What jacket would you wear with a strappy red dress? It's for a Christmas party (and what shoes too 🙈)

Some kind of fake fur jacket?

I'd go for gold or silver sandals.

Is the dress fairly straight style? If so maybe a little waisted jacket in black, perhaps velvet. If it’s more flared perhaps a little shrug with some glitter. For shoes I think something gold or silver.

Well are you planning on keeping a jacket on all/most of the evening? If not, why not go for a fairly glam evening coat in fake fur or something velvety?

That's a stunning dress! I would wear the black jacket.

If you wear tweed/wool it will detract from the dress. I think it needs the full on glam suggestion upthread of fake fur, in a lighter (not black) colour.

Careful you don't go too light. A very pale fur jacket and you'll end up looking like Santa.
