Just thinking about the fictional characters with wardrobes I’d like to raid. Currently, for me, it’s Jean Holloway (played by Naomi Watts) in Gypsy, I love her outfits. What about you?

I agree with Riviera and The Split

President Chrisjen Avasarala from The Expanse.

i should note that i am pale, ginger, and unimpressive so could never be her, but oh! Those colours!

also, i think you should all post pics of what you’re describing so i can find new wanty clothes.

Blair Waldorf in gossip girl - but I’m too old for it now!

Supersimkin2 · 28/10/2022 21:21

Sienna’s coat inThe Split (not the size 2 she’s wearing) and Sherlock’sBelstaff coat (suspect same swooshy size.)

Olivia Pope for me

Yes, agee with this. Otherwise I'd actually really be able to justify this velvet boyfriend jacket just released by 100 stars. I've got quite a bit of their stuff, but can only really afford it in the sales. This is £260 but bloody stunning IMO

That jacket is gorgeous!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 28/10/2022 21:34

Fleabag, or Mrs Hall from All Creatures Great and Small. Admittedly, rather different.

RoastedTurnip · 28/10/2022 21:36

Kristen Bells character in the good place (my mind has gone completely blank) nails what I want to look like say the weekends. My colouring is too dissimilar to hers though

Robin in the Strike series by JK Rowling - she always looks so cool and stylish. Wouldn’t say no if it attracted a man like Strike either 😂

Julia Roberts outfits in the recent film she was in with George Clooney - Ticket to Paradise - she had some lovely jumpsuits & play suits & looked so stylish

Yes! I need to find out where her clothes where from!

Renee Russo’s character in “the Thomas crown affair”

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the OP's message title! I remember seeing the film when it first came out and absolutely loving what she wore.

WildGooses · 28/10/2022 21:46

Tilda Swinton’s rock star character in A Bigger Splash. It would look ghastly on me as I am not a fine-boned androgynous divinity, but hey…

Sienna Miller's in Anatomy of a Scandal (if I also had her figure!)

I think it wasn't just the clothes, but she always looked so "together" - even if I had the money to afford the clothes, I don't think I'd ever manage to look so tidy and put together

willieversleep · 28/10/2022 21:56

Hannah in the split

Speedweed · 28/10/2022 22:01

At the moment, watching the Golden Girls and absolutely loving Blanche's wardrobe - all brightly coloured jersey jumpsuits and silk kimonos. Just gorgeous, and hits the jackpot of comfy, stylish and so glamorous.

Also love Cameron Diaz's wardrobe from the Holiday - all lovely comfy cashmere and silk layers.

Hmm, comfort clearly a theme here - they just do it whilst remaining chic rather than channelling their inner bag lady. No idea how they pull it off!

Rose the Hat in Dr Sleep. It would look terrible on me though and I'd feel v self conscious. I love her hat especially.

Susurrar · 28/10/2022 22:29

Helen Solloway in The Affair. Classy and understated but still modern.

PreColumbian · 28/10/2022 22:32

My own is pretty bloody good. Failing that, Miss Marion in The Go-Between as played by Julie Christie. Admittedly it might be tricky for the school run and when filling the car with diesel but still, fabulous.

Seainasive · 28/10/2022 22:40

Another vote for Carolyn in Killing Eve. Such an amazing selection of coats!

You've beaten me to it. Hers is the sort of style I favour to start with; very like Stevie Nicks, who also wears a top hat!

Bell sleeves and flowing dresses are my favourite, although the top hat is one item I don't possess. They look so cool in theirs; I'd just look a twat.

Cate Blanchet in Oceans 8.
