Must have makeup

I need cheering up and planning to treat myself to some new makeup. Please give me your makeup recommendations that you love to stop me wasting loads of money.

I wear ELDW foundation which I love as I need full coverage, but any other similar/better options I should be trying?

I definitely want something that gives cheek areas a bit of a glow for evenings out, is charlotte tilbury flawless filter any good? Or anything better?

And any other makeup bits you wouldn’t be without.

Hourglass ambient lighting pressed powder is good for a bit of subtle glow.

treated my self to a hourglass pallet love it, I love my channel bronzer, and from qvc brought the doll 2 gel eyeliner, it's so good last all day on my oily lids, never had one that didn't smudge after a short time, except my hourglass one, but this beats it, chucked all my others away.

ELDW foundation is the best full cover in my opinion. To give your cheeks a glow for a night out try a sheeny blush/highlighter? I love nars Orgasm blush or Mac Fairly Precious and estee lauder modern mercury highlighter.

Hourglass concealer

Hourglass Ambient lighting setting powder

Erborian cc cream,
Ilia mascara
Byterry hydrabalm or Clinique black honey
Glossier cloud paint

Why don’t you go into Boots or Space NK and request some samples? Nars and Hourglass have some rocking full-cover foundations too.

Avon Glimmersticks come in many colours but my favourite is black /brown as not too harsh. These are my favourites. Almost as cheap as chips. I get them from my line manager who knows an Avon lady but also from Amazon - sometimes have packs of three!

I agree re Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. I am wearing Palazzo at the moment and it is a great colour. Described as a deep neutral red but is very wearable that goes with most things.

Can I ask - I’m Irish and pale Blonde highlights over light brown base. Every blusher I find looks too pink on me and bronzers are too brown/orange. Any makeup experts able to think of a matte neutral that might work? Finding this tricky to find!

Dior quad eyeshadows are ace, I use the rose gold one in particular. Also love Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara, and Shiseido pressed powder. All worth the money.

i have peach, pink and gold and they are all useful in that they can be used on their own or added/mixed in to other products.

One or two drops in a foundation or bb cream and you have a beautiful radiance without looking shimmery.
