Botox for jaw slimming

After a few stressful years and clenching my jaw, my face shape has completely bulked out at the sides when I used to have a nice slim jawline. I look different and it really upsets me and affects my confidence. I think I might grind my teeth sometimes as well as I wake up with headaches a lot and sore cheeks.

I've recently paid out to have botox in my masseters, to slim these bulked out lower cheeks. But after a month, I took a selfie and I can't see any difference? I still don't look like me.

Has anyone had any experiences with this and can share anything?

Wondering if to go back to the clinic at this point as i've paid a fair bit for this and its so disappointing to still look crap.

Has it stopped you from grinding your teeth and having the headaches though? Never heard of botox for face slimming.

Not sure a month would be enough to make a difference. It can take a couple of weeks for it to start to affect the muscles, and more time for you to notice a difference. I've had it done twice in the last 6 months and do notice a change to my face shape. That wasn't what I had it done for though.

I get botox for masseters (for teeth grinding and jaw slimming).

Essentially your muscle needs to waste away so it did take longer for me to see effect than botox for wrinkles on my forehead. Maybe took 2-3 months for noticeable impact. The good thing was, once done a few times, effect lasted longer than botox in other areas. My teeth (main reason) have stopped hurting too,

I love it.

I had asked my aesthetician about a similar thing - I have a jawline on one side of my face and not on the other!- and she said for a noticeable difference in the appearance of my jawline, I would probably need a small amount of jaw filler rather than Botox. From what I understand the Botox stops you from clenching the muscle but the filler actually adds shape back in?
