Tried to post last night but I think the thread didn’t go through

have a work function soon and just had the formal invite through with the dresscode

its smart party wear

does anyone know what this means, I’ve never seen it before neither has anyone at work. I’m 34 weeks pregnant at the event too so would have to be maternity friends options Confused

I’d wear black velvet wide legged elasticated trousers and a sparkly top. Have a look on Vinted to save spending lots on something you may not wear again.

I would assume it to mean more sober party wear, e.g. cocktail or evening style, as opposed to almost naked clubbing gear or very short dresses.

I imagine it means partywear that's not too revealing. So no mini dresses or super low-cut tops. Maybe a nice jumpsuits or a midi/maxi dress with a higher neckline.

Sparkly and demure

Along these lines I am thinking..
