Leather boots going mouldy/damp again

Redup · 24/10/2022 15:07

I've had them for a couple of years and they live under the stairs but they are the only pair I have an issue with.
I've dried them out a couple of times before and wiped them with vinegar as suggested online. I assume I polished them - but maybe haven't used the correct product.
They are Cara kind of almost raw looking leather (so not a shine). Any suggestions as to what product to use?

Following as I have the same problem, have had to throw so many away over the years :(

Can you store them in paper bags?

@Mydogatemypurse I'd never heard that suggestion before. Have you tried it?

Have you tried dubbin rather than polish, it's normally used to waterproof walking boots

Thanks for that suggestion. Have just bought a tub from Amazon for less than £3.50 so definitely worth a try.
