Wool & silk scarf care question

I've a scarf that is 85% wool and 15% silk, it was a gorgeous gift! However, winters are pretty wet around here. Will heavy rain or repeated exposure to rain spoil it? I've heard silk and water do not mix.

Rain won't spoil it, but when you get home, you need to let it dry flat, so at the back of chair for example. You can iron it but no direct contact between iron and silk. Use a clean damp tea towel , medium heat, and again do not fold it until completely dry.
I have several jumpers which are a mixture of wool and silk and my favourite is cashmere and silk, and they are still perfect .

Precious and delicate items need good care, so even if in a rush with kids, shopping, don't thrown the scarf on the coat peg, under coats and bags, take the 30 seconds to walk to a chair.

Lucky you. Make sure to tell the person who gifted it to you how much you love the scarf.

Thank you for your help. I've not had much silk in my life before so all your advice is duly noted!
