Help me build a capsule wardrobe?

After lockdown, having my DS in 2020 and feeling generally a bit down over the last few months, I've put a lot of weight on. I'm not obsessive about weight but I'd like to feel healthier, a bit less tired and just good in my skin again. Today I'm going to increase fruit and veggies, exercise and cut down a little on all that chocolate that doesn't make me even feel all that good.

Anyway! Not much really fits me in my wardrobe so im hoping to build a little capsule wardrobe while in losing weight. I'm 5ft3, 36G, carry all my weight up top. I'd like just a couple of things I feel good about myself in, maybe a couple of jumpers, tops, dresses and trousers to last me through the colder months. I don't want to spend too much but if you've seen anything that might suit me, I'd love some ideas/links. I've attached an in the moment photo of what I'm wearing to work today - apologies it's not great!

If that's your best bra, get a better bra.
You have slim legs and hips which would look great in looser, wider trousers and jeans cuts. I think a loose v neck jumper in a darker shade loosely tucked into a pleated lighter coloured midi skirt and some heels would look really nice on you.
I would decide on 3 colours that work for you and find a jumper dress that can be worn as a dress or top and a shirt dress that can be worn open or closed. Things that can have a belt added or layered, things that look good oversized or now fitted. So I wouldn't get anything that is already oversized on your size now get fitted things.
If you don't want to spend much because it's a temporary wardrobe consider that you could sell them on ebay later.
I don't know if you're a jewellery wearer but I would treat myself with a nice necklace or earrings or even some new shoes if needed. They should still fit when you lose weight.

Second the new bra. Doing this after having a baby was one of the best changes. Don't go to M&S though go to somewhere more reputable for fittings.

Your legs are lovely and slim, and your arms look so too. Find a dress and top to work with an apple shape and get it in a colour that shows off your colouring. Maybe a bright jumper for winter?

@bookish83 thank you! I did get measured earlier this year and bought some new bras, maybe this photo isn't doing me any favours 😅 unfortunately the nice local shop I got measured in has now closed so I might have to voyage further afield for a measuring. It's tricky to get bras in my size.

I'm definitely one for bright colours so thank you 🙂
