Long chic rain coat

Does this exist? I don't want to look like I've been to craghoppers, but I'm not exactly cutting edge in my style either. I want it to be long enough that my thighs don't get soaked when it's raining, with a hood, not a warm jacket but not as thin as a poncho either... i don't want it to be massively sweaty... struggling to find anything... ideas?

Rains, Stutterheim, Sweaty Betty sometimes do good raincoats too.

Protected Species

How waterproof? I have a double breasted trench coat but I use an umbrella. My proper waterproof jacket is mountain warehouse and very good in the hills (10,000 hydro rating)

Ilse Jacobsen I think are beautiful and proper raincoats

I got a Didriksons one that's amazing, it's smart enough to wear to work and comes into its own on a dog walk! Was about £130 I think.

I keep looking at Protected Species but can't get my head around the price ...

I have this one and it’s brilliant:

Barbour

shop around, you’ll probably find it cheaper.

Thanks for these suggestions! Will check them out

Stutterheim definitely. More pricey but worth it. Patagonia have some nice looking plain rain coats too and they’re a fantastic ethical company.
