LV Pochette Metis ??

I've been looking black crossbody bag for a while (for work, happy to buy bit more expensive if I can keep using it for years). So... I quite like LV Pochette Metis in black, but concerned at LV as brand. I'm not too keen on designer brands that are in your face, I wouldn't buy LV canvas style bag but I thought this black bag is bit more understated. Any thoughts how much in style LV still is 😊

I love the bag, as far as LV go it’s really understated and a classic. My only reservation is with LV I tend to presume they’re a fake unless they’re on the arm of someone looking fabulous 🤣 says more about my prejudice than anything else I’m sure! But it’s one of those brands that’s highly copied, that being said I think that particular bag might just be fancy enough to look totally legit anyway. It really is lovely!

I find all over monograming a bit in your face, it's just not my cup of tea (even the more understated version you link), but it's so popular that it's clearly a personal preference rather than anything objective. I really like the YSL Cassandra, which I find more understated.

The thing worth considering with a monogram style bag right now is that they tend to become less trendy during economic crisis as some people find it not tasteful to have such overt displays of wealth, if I liked the style I wouldn't find this an issue, but thought it worth mentioning given you asked if it's in style.

I've got this bag and it's the perfect size and really comfortable to use. It fits a large size purse, then has another section for make up, tissues etc. Phone goes in the back zip pocket. I've had mine for over 4 years and it's used more than any other bag, my absolute favourite, looks like new still too.

Love this bag. Only concern would be wear and tear on the brass lock. But I think it's a fab size and not too in your face on the branding.
