Can I dye a boiled wool jacket.

I have just bought a lovely Oska boiled wool jacket off Ebay. Its like new but is a strange lilac colour. I love the style but would really prefer a different colour. Has anyone successfully dyed boiled wool?

I've never attempted wool myself. It should be possible but stick to hand dye not machine. And beware of any visible stitching that might not dye.
