Trousers for apples

If you’re an apple, where do you buy your trousers?

I am quite large around the waist, with very slim legs and average hips. I’ve always been this way and always struggled to find trousers.

I am specifically looking for work trousers - the Holy Grail. Bonus if they do longer length as this apple has long legs.

I am a short legged apple and feel your pain! Life was much simple when trousers sat on the hips, as my hips are slim so i could drop a size.
I'm starting to think that I'm going to need to get trousers that fit around the waist and find somebody to do alterations.
So not much help, just solidarity! I will follow this thread for answers too.

Oh boy! Trying to find trousers for my apple shape is like trying to find rocking horse shit.
I look like a jacket potato on two cocktail sticks. Could wear a 14 on legs and hips but need an 18 for my belly. If you find a good source of trousers, let me know!

I bought some wide leg trousers eith an elastic waist from uniqlo in spring they are vey flattering and don't look loke they have an elastic waist.

I bought some long black trousers with elasticated waist from m&s. Perfect. Not fitted to the leg, tend not to crease, easy.

This would be sooooo much easier 😂

I can't remember the name sorry. But it's a style they repeat.

M&s bonus points for having a good range of leg lengths. Lots of elasticated waists but reasonably stylish. I still sized up to get the waist and bought close fitting stretchy styles so they didn't drown me on the leg.

Not sure, as I bought them last year, but the smart comfort ones look similar. Stretchy, and with pockets!

I like these m&s ones.
The vertical darts & high smooth stretch waist makes them look like tailored trousers.

Cos & Arket also do some really lovely elasticated waist trousers every year.
