Help me with finding a gift!

Anyone got any suggestions for a gift for a 24 year old woman?
I'd prefer to spend in the region of £30-£40, happy to go up to £50 for the perfect thing.
She's what I'd describe as effortlessly cool. She doesn't even know it! She has a very creative career, in a very fashion-y field and is very career focussed.
No kids, single, mostly shops in charity shops and second hand really and tends to come out having found all the good stuff I can never find!
She's not a big drinker at all. Hasn't got her ears pierced but does like other jewellery. Into makeup and skincare, but I'm not sure what the cool brands to go for are at the moment.
Any other thoughts?

Charlotte Tilbury have some lovely gifts

luckylavender · 17/10/2022 21:08

A beautiful stylish note book

mrsjimhopper · 17/10/2022 21:15

Does she wear make up? If so a Chanel lipstick or a Dior one (Dior glow looks good or the Dior glow lip oil)

It's nice, fancy, indulgent and they will swap colour if she doesn't like it.

I love make up but I'm not a lipstick fan but would like this. Feels like a treat.

NC12345665 · 17/10/2022 21:16

Would you be happy to receive that as a gift?

I second Charlotte Tilbury make up. I like Huda as well. Chantecaille is nice but you won't get much for under £50.

ShesThunderstorms · 17/10/2022 21:20

Oh wow, thanks so much for all the recommendations! I'll work my way through them now and report back!

Would recommend Liberty generally- lots of interesting brands that you won’t find everywhere.

Dingalingo · 17/10/2022 21:43

Good suggestions above - please don’t buy that Amazon suggestion though! Charlotte tilbury flawless filter is lovely, or there are some nice palettes.

noodlezoodle · 17/10/2022 22:20

Really nice art, fashion or photography book? Something from Taschen or Phaidon maybe?

TheHappiestChristmasTree · 17/10/2022 22:25

What about jewellery from here:

wearelucent.com

Some lovely, quirky stuff. I've got my eye on quite a few of their necklaces!

LookItsMeAgain · 18/10/2022 08:26

In fairness about the Amazon gift box, it ticked a lot of the boxes that the OP put up. It's quirky, it has a reusable cup in it, it is in her budget, it looks ok. It was only a suggestion and it's one that came up in a google search for gifts for women in their 20's.

Would you actually return a lipstick? To swap it for another colour??

MissKittyFantastico84 · 18/10/2022 09:08

Skandivisk has some effortlessly cool toiletries with some gorgeous scents. OY is a particular fave.

The woman you're describing sounds as though she would want something a bit more small brand than big brand like Tilbury etc.

Sculpted is another cool brand. Or MILK or Glossier. All available online. All have more Gen Z friendly design and products. Hope that helps!

How well do you know her? I wonder with her buying from charity shops whether she is not really into active consumption?

Since I starting trying to live more mindfully I tend to buy token gifts that be can be used up or eaten like lovely chocolate or a nice bar of soap. You could always wrap up japanese style in a charity shopped silk scarf?

TonightMatthewIamgoingtobecher · 18/10/2022 09:16

Lovely socks and scarves etc sold by Powder and can in gorgeous gift bags

sandytooth · 18/10/2022 09:18

Charlotte tilbury or Pat McGrath has some small eyeshadow pallettes that are getting good reviews.

Some turtle dove fingerless gloves?

waltzingparrot · 18/10/2022 13:03

Cashmere lounging socks. Turtle Doves use recycled cashmere for theirs.

PinkArt · 18/10/2022 17:20

@LookItsMeAgain It's currently £49.50 on Escentual if you were eyeing it up for you! www.escentual.com/loccitane/loccitane034/
