Isn't this a bad haircut?

I only get my hair cut twice a year as it's so expensive and I'm a bit upset about yesterday's one :(.

They usually add long layers and some shaping around the front to give it a bit of movement and blend things in, but it was a different stylist and i basically got a blunt cut. I hate it.

She only spent about 5 minutes actually cutting the hair, for 62 quid. I mentioned that the two sides at the front weren't the same length and she barked "I haven't finished yet!" (Although she'd already dried my hair and had just gotten the tongs to curl it).

She cut a couple of extra bits here and there and called it a day. Now it's not wavy anymore I've realised how much I dislike it.

Would you go back or do you think it's acceptable enough?

In any case I don't like it so will have to go somewhere else. How can I be more specific in what I ask for so I end up liking it?

its not terrible but I’d certainly expect more time spent on my hair for £62. It does look like she just cut it straight across and not particularly evenly.

I have had similar experiences when I’ve not been very specific about what I wanted. But not at that price.

It’s not too good at the front there, your left - on the right as we’re looking at the photo. Looks like someone has hacked some random bits with the scissors.Confused

I think for £60 + I’d be going back to complain.

TescoCustomerService · 16/10/2022 10:26

I'd agree it's pretty bad, definitely go back and complain

A wet cut and blow dry where I go is £35 and even then, I'd go back and complain!

The front looks off but I don’t think your head is straight in the pic nor is it combed straight so it’s hard to tell. The back is nice.

It looks worse at the front because when OP used red pen to scrub out her face, she accidentally put a line of red through the ends of the hair!!

@pocketvenuss a-ha, you’re right I didn’t spot that. Makes it quite difficult to comment really.Grin

You look nice. Blunt works. But this is a wonky cut! They need to either refund you, and/or ask for a more senior stylist to level it out. Then let it grow a bit and get it shaped the way you want it.

Haha. My first reaction was 'gah! Why did they chop a chunk out' then I realised
