Gorgeous but very squeaky Boots

I ordered these gorgeous Dune boots (link below) and they arrived yesterday. They are beautiful and fit me perfectly.

However, the rubber soles are very squeaky on my hardwood floor. It seems to be where the rubber is bending as I move my foot and it comes into contact with the hard floor. They make no noise at all when I walk on the carpet. I don’t want to try walking outside in case I decide to send them back. Has anyone else bought these and found the same? Did they become less squeaky over time?

Hahaha....absolutely nothing worse in my opinion that a squeeky shoe....

In 'the old days' we put talcum powder on the problem areas which may help a little.

If you want to try them outside I've seen models put masking tape all over the soles to prevent them getting scratched so that they could be returned. Maybe that's worth a try?

@BucketofTeaMassiveCake hmm, will see if I can work out which area exactly. But the strange thing is it’s both boots.

I’m hoping it’s because they’re new and it will just fade the more I use them…

If it's the outside of the sole try sanding it with a sandpaper
if it's the inside of the sole stick a panty liner in. This trick works with squeaky sandals too.
