I need ROSE!

Evening!
I absolutely love the smell of rose. Candles, bath products, shower cream, anything I can find……except I can’t find any decent ones anymore! I have Rose jam from lush which I love, Nivia shower isn’t very rose like neither is the imperial leather one. I’m looking for not too expensive rose scented anything’s that actually smell more rose than vanilla ( I do love vanilla though!)
Any recommendations really really appreciated as my nose needs rose!!
Thank you

@downtonupton Glendalough Rose Gin, the botanicals include rose petals and it is delicious.

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 16/10/2022 20:53

Body shop rose stuff is awful- very synthetic, as someone who also loves rose I would steer well clear.

WhereAreWeNow · 16/10/2022 22:40

Serge Lutens Sa Majeste la Rose is my all time favourite rose perfume. Not cheap though.

Pigeon31 · 17/10/2022 06:54

Rose petal tea is really good for scenting the whole room like roses - you could get that anywhere that would normally sell herbal tea (something like this - teapeople.co.uk/red-rose-petals-loose-tea.html ).

Another one for L'Occitane. I'm not a huge fan of rose but I used to work in retail on a perfume counter. The L'O section always smelt of rose even though there were about fifty other products there!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 17/10/2022 07:09

Jo Malone Red Roses is the only perfume I've ever smelt that has the complexity and depth of a proper scented rose. Doesn't last five minutes as a perfume though.

So many are synthetic and horrible ( M&S is vile!) If it's at a cheap price point the smell is going to be synthetic and plasticky. Which is fine to like, but I think it's a completely different smell to something that's been made with rose oil ( which is unbelievably expensive, hence the price points of the good stuff)

Jamepume · 17/10/2022 07:10

Korres Japanese Rose is lovely.

yoshiblue · 17/10/2022 07:12

Will second Paul Smith Rose and Body Shop Rose ranges.

I haven't used Loccitaine but I bet it's lovely!

chocolateoranges33 · 17/10/2022 07:21

L'occitane have some amazing rose products.

My mum also has some from the body shop which are nice

UserError012345 · 17/10/2022 07:24

Paul Smith Rose is a beautiful scent. Can buy for as little as £20.

babysteps22 · 17/10/2022 07:27

Aldi Lacura Rose Oil is lovely

Whatevernext1 · 17/10/2022 07:32

Byredo young rose

CampervanKween · 17/10/2022 14:51

Did anyone use to make their mum rosewater perfume as a kid? Basically rose petals mashed up in water? My mum was always very appreciative......

Le Labo Rose 31, it's not a pretty, floral rose scent, but it is delicious natural rose essential scent. The body lotion is divine (I don't usually use body lotion, but this one stands out for me and I adore it), the scent lasts on the skin and when I use it, I get so many compliments.

Not easy to find, Liberty sells it and there is an outlet at LHR or direct from their own website.

I agree. It smells like fresh roses not perfume. The most natural rose scent around.

FastFood · 17/10/2022 21:01

Another one for Le Labo Rose 31.
So natural and unisex at the same time.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 17/10/2022 21:30

I really recommend Bulgarian rose products. They grow wonderful roses in Bulgaria, and make lovely products, which are under-priced in the UK because the packaging is old fashioned/naff. So they are a bargain, as well as smelling great. This links to a soap on Amazon, but there are loads of other products - body creams, moisturisers, soaps etc.

LookdeepintotheParka · 17/10/2022 22:19

I adore the new Molton Brown Rose Dunes range which is a beautifully spicy rose but it's £££

There's a lovely Argan rose soap which I buy from Waitrose which smells amazing. It has a gorgeous creamy lather and is quite cheap too.

Also YY to the Korres Japanese Rose and l'Occitane mentioned above. As you can tell I'm a rose fan too 😀

Neals yard or Weleda

Highschoolprobs · 17/10/2022 22:26

I use rose toner and face oil from Aldi. Smells fab and cheap as chips.

catfunk · 18/10/2022 19:05

I use faith in nature rose conditioner, Simom rose face oil, and neals yard rose hand cream - got all from tk maxx!

AdelaideRo · 18/10/2022 19:10

REN Moroccan Rose Shower Gel and moisturiser.

Rose isn't really my thing but they smell nice. The yoga studio I go to has REN in their showers. If anyone knows me and is buying me a gift please note that I much prefer the citrus duo!

catfunk · 18/10/2022 20:13

I meant Sukin rose oil 😂
