Going out shoes for a clumpy boots wearer

I wear clumpy sandals or clumpy boots. I am broad with wideish feet. I walk to pubs or restaurants so I need something relatively comfortable
All is fine in summer or casual winter but if I need to be more dressed up I'm lost at what to put on my feet. I can't do dainty, I'm the wrong build and I can't bear to be uncomfortable

How dressed up are we talking? You can be pretty dressed up in boots!

I guess when I need to be smarter

I just wear my trainers or clumpy boots with anything. I’d be uncomfortable and/or feel awkward in anything else.

What would your typical outfit be? Might make it easier for people to suggest shoes to go with it.

Just wear DMs, they’re fine for any occasion, I love them! If I don’t wear them I’ve got some sock length ankle boots with a low block heel, would something like that work for you?

I have wide, big feet and prefer chunky styles. I always wear chunky sandals, trainers or boots. If I need to be smarter in winter I wear a Chelsea style boot with a chunky heel with a dress
