We worked out checking luggage for all of the flights we're doing internally will cost around £400, and I'd rather use that on a Space NK splurge so, hive mind, your assignment is as follows:

Two weeks
1x carry on case 1x decent sized backpack
San Fran > LA
LA > Dallas
Dallas > DC
(So quite a range of temperatures and 'vibes')
Early 30s
Really into clothes/looking and feeling good and fashion forward but not fashion victim
Usually wear a lot of brights
We'll be mainly eating and drinking with friends, no sightseeing really

Need to account for running trainers and a bit of gym wear

What would you pack?

Good luck! I’m a total overpacker and admire anyone who can travel light.

every time I plan a new trip I think this time I’ll go light, but inevitably I just don’t have the right frame of mind to be a ruthless and efficient packer. It does seem to be all about the mindset though, and i think really planning a ‘cohesive’ wardrobe, so each single item can be worn in lots of ways to make multiples of outfits, rather than that ‘just incase’ throwing random garments and shoes in the bag that I tend to do.
