Going out hairstyles

I normally have my hair in a ponytail or with a hair claw most days as I hate my hair down! I was out for a boozy lunch today and had it down and just hate how it looks. But I didn't feel like having it in a clip or a ponytail would be an option.

Now I'm home and had a few drinks I'm thinking who cares what's in fashion and I should just put it up in a clip when out as I'll feel more comfortable.

But I'd want to feel nice and done up rather than what I do day to day 🤔

Any suggestions for a nice up do for going out? My hair is mid length, very thick and previously very damaged but I don't use heat for this reason.

What about down but with the sides pinned back? or a half up half down style?

@pinklillie thank you I didn't even think of that. Its my short layers at the front I hate how they sit even if straightened so that would be ideal!

I was like this, hated hair down and always had it up. I got so fed up of it not looking done or styled I chopped it all off into a pixie cut which I could style quickly and easily and always looked done. Very drastic but worked for me.

Actually funny you say that @LunaLoveFood as I had that thought the other week about getting it all cut off! Last time I went for bob length and I liked that but couldn't get it up at all and it's grown out funny again.

Could you try curling it or half up or play around putting bits behind your ears or a few grips here and there? How about having it down and switching the parting?
