Replacements for my GHDs

I have a set of 15 year old GHDs, they just aren’t the same any more. What is the best replacement on the market? I do like a bargain, but I’d rather get something that works amazingly and saves me time.

I have long thick wavy hair that could probably do with a cut.

I like my Cloud 9 more than the new GHDs! Have heard T3 are good but never tried.

Thanks @NightOwlNotEarlyBird!

Cloud 9s is the company set up by the founder of GHDs after he sold it I think

I second Cloud Nine. Make light work of my very thick hair

Thanks all! Are the wide ones worth it?

I have both cloud nines regular and thick, if your hair is long/thick the wider plates do make a difference.

I also recommend cloud 9, has mine for years, you can control the heat, works well. I had wanted a change from GHD.

I replaced my ghds with cloud 9s a few years ago and was really disappointed. I went back to ghd. I found them too hot, and even changing the temperature didn’t help. They dried out my hair a lot which is hard to do as it’s thick and usually fine.

i asked my hairdresser and he said he wasn’t comfortable using them as he’d heard too many horror stories of people using them at home and them damaging their hair. Can you ask your hairdresser what they recommend?

Cloud 9s

Try eBay for old GHDs - do a search for the model numbers. I found a pair of original-style ones on there still in excellent condition for about £20 when my GHDs broke after 15/20 years of use. I agree, the newer models are nowhere near as good, weirdly.
