Does anyone use wild or similar? Does it prevent you sweating or allows you to sweat just doesn't smell?

I use Fussy and get the refill on subscription, love it and have converted my entire family including DS14 who now doesn’t smell! They do a variety of fragrances so quite unisex.

WildFlowerBees · 08/10/2022 18:16

@Incognito19 do you find you sweat with Fussy? Obviously sweating is natural and I'm not a big drippy mess but I quite like having dry armpits

I use Wild, works for me but I’m not massively sweaty. Fragrances are very mild, nice to use but you don’t go round smelling like an orange all day.

GyozaGuiting · 08/10/2022 18:24

I found Wild awful, it was super itchy, left terrible white marks on everything, and I got through a refill every 3 weeks, meaning it was £6 every 6 weeks!
I wanted to love it but didn’t work and I smelt using it (which I’ve NEVER had even with natural deodorant before).

GyozaGuiting · 08/10/2022 18:24

£6 every 3 weeks I mean!

MissBPotter · 08/10/2022 18:27

I’ve been using wild for about three weeks and I love it so far! I found that I was starting to get a bit smelly with normal antiperspirants eg dove. I think it was hormonal. Anyway since using wild ive been smelling great (even if I do say so myself!). Like how eco friendly it is as well.

Squirrelsnut · 08/10/2022 18:33

I haven't used Wild but I've been using one of those crystal deodorants for ages and it works a treat. No pong, ever. Cardboard container, last literally months. Was about £5.

Squirrelsnut · 08/10/2022 18:35

Crystal Spring

josie95xxx · 08/10/2022 20:04

I also didn't like Wild. It was itchy, left white marks on my clothes and the container broke meaning I couldn't refill it when it ran out. I wanted to like it but it didn't work for me

Incognito19 · 08/10/2022 20:09

I’m not a sweaty person so not the best to ask but have noticed a definite difference in DS. Key thing though is that he doesn’t smell after sport etc…

Salt of the earth is great. No smell at all. In theory it's not supposed to stop you sweating but I've never noticed myself being sweaty when using it.

I tried wild and didn't like it at all. Felt gooey in my armpits any it just didn't work. I was smelly

FancyFelix · 08/10/2022 20:15

I do miss a scented deodorant so sometimes use a neals yard spray over the top. It's not antiperspirant, just deodorant

Incognito19 · 08/10/2022 20:15

Fussy…These are the fussy fragrance options

I love night tales and DH’s fan of cloud nine. The DC get what they’re given…

i don’t really like wearing fragrance as most give me a headache but this is just enough. Even in peak heat this summer, I could only smell the deodorant fragrance - I even had a couple of strangers ask me what perfume I was wearing!

Springblooms08 · 08/10/2022 20:16

I wasn’t a fan of Wild as I found it quite gloopy and the case wasn’t very well made so mine broke quite quickly. I use fussy now which I really like, it’s a nice smooth formula. You do still sweat but it does lessen it id say.

Smilelesstalkmore · 08/10/2022 20:18

The fact that Wild uses basically any Instagrammer with over about 10k followers to advertise their stuff puts me off - it just makes me think it must be shit. They can't all genuinely think its the best thing ever, so it must me fake, therefore it's probably crap!

I have never found a non anti-perspirant that I like tbh.

flipflop76 · 08/10/2022 20:19

I use Wild and also Tropic's Feel Fresh and both are great.

BusySittingDown · 08/10/2022 20:20

I started using Wild when I found I couldn't buy my usual Dove stick antiperspirant. I'm not particularly sweaty but Wild lets you sweat but you still smell lovely. I find that the scent lasts all day.

FredGarland · 08/10/2022 20:24

I used to use Native and was gutted when they stopped shipping to the UK - it was brilliant.
I tried replacing it with Wild; hated it. I found it soft and messy (impossible to keep the lid / container clean) and not especially effective.
I've just started Fussy - so far, so good.

latetothefisting · 08/10/2022 20:30

I've tried wild but wasn't fussed - definitely didn't stop me sweating, plus there was always quite a bit left you couldn't get out, unless you stuck a finger in there and tried to scrape it up, which given it was already more expensive than normal deodorants wasn't ideal.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/10/2022 20:35

I use Wild and find it very effective - even when exercising in the summer. The various scents are all fabulous, and I can buy it locally.

bluesky · 08/10/2022 20:58

I love mine, in a tin, online company called Conchus, works brilliantly.

houserenohelp · 05/09/2023 11:49

its awful, I stink, tried and tried but really rubbish and expensive. such a shame

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 05/09/2023 12:01

My main problem with Wild was that it wouldn't wash off. So it would have worked for me if I could wash it off every day and reapply on clean skin, but because it wouldn't wash off the smell was trapped under a layer of the product. I would get out of the shower and still have BO. After about four days I scrubbed it hard with a nylon scrubby thing and my fingernails and never used it again. It might work if you like really hot showers, but I prefer luke warm showers. I think it might need heat to soften it before it can be washed off.

MadisonAvenue · 05/09/2023 12:05

I tried Wild and didn’t like it. They advise that you may smell a bit for a week or two while your body adjusts to using it but after three weeks I could still notice a sweaty smell, plus it had quite a sticky texture and left white marks on everything.

I’ve switched to Fussy and love it.

Purpleavocado · 05/09/2023 12:23

Nope, it didn't work for me, not sure if I just have extra smelly sweat!
