Messy windswept hair

I don't know why but my hair always looks messy and windswept even if it's not windy!

It is very fine and flyaway so I always tie it up for this reason. I think it might be breaking off because I have short baby hairs around my hairline that just stick up.

The only way to control my hair is to use hairspray but I hate the feel of it. I've tried argan oils, lightweight hairsprays, frizz-ease but it literally does nothing.

Is there a tip or a product I should be using?

Also to mention I wash it 1-2 times a week and let it air dry. It dries in around half an hour. My hair is naturally wavy shoulder length and never seems to grow much!

How can I strengthen it and tame it?

Keratin treatment at salon or much cheaper to DIY (cocochoco brand) but make sure you use salt free shampoo afterwards otherwise it won't last. Should last like 3-6 months but if you swim in pools or sea it will wash out much sooner. It won't give you poker straight hair it will make it a lot healthier looking and less frizzy, just dont be heavy handed at the roots otherwise it can make the hair a bit flat looking at roots if you put too much product.
Make sure your hair is trimmed, I notice a different in how my hair hangs and sits when the ends are trimmed to a healthy length.
If you don't fancy that then try Big Hair Styler or similar.
I recently got this
Herbal Essences Hemp Seed Frizz Control Oil £4.50 from boots and it worked better than Frizz Ease serums or argan oil. It took away the poofy fluffy frizz without it looking greasy.

Thank you @Keto4teeth that's really helpful. Is there a particular cocochoco product you would recommend as there are so many? I have never had a keratin treatment done so wonder whether it's worth getting it done professionally however I am not keen to go to the hairdressers. I will definitely look into the oil you recommended!

You're very welcome. I hope my suggestions work for you.
I used the Gold version but their page has more info here about each type
cocochocopro.co.uk/en/content/6-brazilian-keratin
They have a web chat which I used before. I'm in no way shape or form affiliated to them and haven't been paid or asked to recommend them. This is purely my personal experience on my own hair.
