Style experts - help me sort this dress out!

Have bought this dress off Vinted for a wedding in a few weeks. I wanted long sleeves and a v neck but it’s too big! It feels too wide and the neckline is too low. I’m a 14 with a big tum so didn’t really want a belted dress either. How can I style or accessorise it? Would a silver/grey cami underneath look ok? Do I need to start my search again?

You could take it to an alterations place and ask them for advice? They could pin it into a different shape to see if it would work. Failing that I think you need to look again. I love Vinted but I do sometimes buy something that doesn’t work or fit and I just sell it on.

A broach gathering the fabric in either central under the bust line or to the side might work to bring the dress in and give some shape. For the neckline either safety pinning the dress onto your bra straps or sewing a dart (try a safety pin first) into the centre at the back of the neckline would bring the neckline up. 🙂

How about a silver/grey very lose fabric belt, a bit like a narrow sash worn quite low?
If it is a lot too big then resell it.
