Please help me with eyeshadow.. clueless

I haven't worn eyeshadow for years, but have an event coming up where I'd like to really look by best.

I haven't a clue what colours to go for, although im guessing matt cream ones as im no youngster.

I have green eyes, light brown hair, quite pale. My dress is pale pink/peach (if that matters)

Im confident with just about everything else.. brows, eyeliner, mascara, foundations, blusher etc. but eyeshadow leaves me clueless.

Please suggest something?

It's pretty pricey but how about trinny London? You can do an assessment of what products/shades look best for your colouring. The little pots are great and last for ages. The models are of all ages and show that you don't necessarily have to go Matt! Enjoy!

Matt is always safe, and not in a bad way. Try a grey, darker than you might initially think.

Pop into a large Boots store or department store and they'll help you.
