Also couldn't spot anything new, my number if items hasn't gone below 160.

I have pulled out my Toast fingerless gloves for the first time this season and they've got several moth holes. I'm not amused as nothing else seems to have been nibbled.

dudsville · 30/11/2022 16:55

Weirder and weirder, so I've just been allowed to see the rest of the sale then, how funny!

faustina · 30/11/2022 17:48

mine shot up to 179 @dudsville but I'm not sure there's anything new on there - maybe they found more of the same stock?

faustina · 30/11/2022 17:49

.. my carpenter trousers are so nice I haven't taken them off yet!

@TerrierOrTerror , they must be related to the moths that terrorise my house; they have expensive tastes and only eat cashmere for breakfast!

I can heartily recommend the Acana lavender moth killer fabric spray and the matching wardrobe hangers and drawer sachets.

SmaugMum · 30/11/2022 18:41

@Laska2Meryls , I’m not remotely envious of your Toast win, no siree, not me! 😗You look fab and you must have felt a million dollars in your Toast ensemble at your lunch today?

Pretty please, Toast name-out-of-the-hat chooser-er, pick me next!

Laska2Meryls · 30/11/2022 19:41

Thank you @SmaugMum and everyone else . Yes I enjoyed wearing my new clothes out today And the lunch -a family birthday - was fab also..

I will be utterly thrilled if someone else here wins the last draw.. Fingers crossed!

Now looking forward to seeing everyone's sale stuff...

You look fantastic @Laska2Meryls
I love everything on you!
So fabulous.

Well my orders [ fairisle in sale and check dress] are still sitting in Swansea. No idea when they will be here. It really is a pain.
I suppose it could be Saturday before they come.
I thought they were still delivering parcels?
A bit worried about ordering Christmas things with RM tbh.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/11/2022 21:16

It is actually also very annoying that Toast are ending their sale. With the post being so slow now, they are not likely to get any returns back in time at this rate!

Countmeout · 30/11/2022 21:18

Well good grief. There’s a ton of stuff added tonight.
Really annoying.

faustina · 30/11/2022 21:22

A HUGE lot of things! I wonder what's going on?

Countmeout · 30/11/2022 21:27

Including the pink dress if anyone is sorry they missed it and the British Home Stores cardigan.

Stravaig · 30/11/2022 21:48

Gosh. 511 items! I'm quite curious about their strategy for sales now. A lot of those items are several years old, have been in multiple sales, yet still listed at two-thirds of original price. That's optimistic, no? Didn't Toast do a round of PR recently, claiming they no were no longer making excess that needed to be discounted in sales? 🧐

There is one item I'd quite like, so hopefully it'll reappear a few times yet🤞

neveradullmoment99 · 30/11/2022 22:28

Oh yes, loads of stuff but from years ago! Still pricey.

Saurus72 · 30/11/2022 22:39

Very strange approach to this sale isn’t it? I bought a white shirt dress at 70% off, very seasonally appropriate. I still mourn a khaki shirt dress I didn’t buy a couple of years ago so feeling hopeful it may reappear sometime 🙄

dudsville · 01/12/2022 03:43

Well this has helped me while away a few insomniac hours! I've added the chambray edith sheet dress and the gauzy check raglan. I have both of these in other colours

@Saurus72 there is a khaki sheet dress on there, is that the one?

Someone wanted to try the Japanese check trousers, they're back in the sale.

Countmeout · 01/12/2022 06:10

I toyed with a black jacket which I definitely have a hole in my wardrobe for but slept on it and it was gone this morning . Probably as well.
Does anyone think it’s good to see the longevity of some pieces of clothing that we still covet them after some time ?

AmethystMoonShine · 01/12/2022 06:20

Tempted by all of the talk of additional sale items and have ordered the Luna dress to try. I had often regretted not trying before as I have the ditsy print dress in the same shape.

Gonegrey31 · 01/12/2022 06:44

I wonder if they are clearing out the stock from Kilver Court? I was there a few weeks ago and many items in the current sale were also on the rails .

Snowyowl78 · 01/12/2022 06:56

@AmethystMoonShine the Luna dress is lovely, I have it.

oh dear this is stressful, I’d already ordered way too much and with these post strikes I am embarrassed at the amount of parcels that are backing up, and now there is more I want to try!

faustina · 01/12/2022 07:03

I think the prices are a bit - optimistic - for things that have been lying around for three years plus. They also seem to be much higher than before - the corduroy shirt dress for example - wasn't that £45 in the archive sale last year or the year before? And the cotton cashmere alix trousers definitely are. I bought them years ago (in an archive sale!) and ebayed them because they were very thin and pyjama-ry but not in a good way

Saurus72 · 01/12/2022 07:13

@AmethystMoonShine The Luna dress is one of my favourite ever purchases from Toast. In fact I was tempted to buy a second in case anything happens to mine…

I really hope you like it because I’ve found it to be the best kind - looks like you’ve made an effort but it’s really comfy with pockets, perfect!

Laska2Meryls · 01/12/2022 07:18

Do you think that they are closing Kilver Court @Gonegrey31 ? I was there earlier this year and there isnt really any other shops there now..
Am going to Bath in a couple of weeks and was thinking of taking a detour.

I jumped on the Lys shirt which I regretted sending back ( although yes surprised at the price still, am sure that it was less previously, but that may have been in JL who often had things cheaper at sale times - I do miss them stocking Toast!)
Also the Luna dress as I liked that and missed out previously.. but tbh I hardly wear dresses now I have stopped working..so I will have to get my practical head on when it arrives..

I did get a bit excited when I saw that they had stuff from years ago as I would love to replace my orange striped Mira jumper which is my favourite Toast Jumper ever.. but sadly, no..

OP posts:
Snowyowl78 · 01/12/2022 07:19

@faustina i agree, this stuff is years old and they should reduce prices unless the want to keep trotting it out year after year and then giving people only a few days to make decisions and try sizes.
finding this approach annoying, as people (me!) will have already spent their limit and then they load more and more stuff up without a chance to return initial purchases.

Anyway, I recommend Alix fine stripe which are perfect for work!!

Saurus72 · 01/12/2022 07:20

@dudsville No sadly it isn’t the one. I’ll just keep an eye out in future…
