I'm after a pair of soft, comfy light to mid-wash dungarees, ankle length-ish and ideally good for fairly long-bodied people. I don't want akinny-style legs but also not baggy - I'm after sort of carrot/tapered/barrel legs! I'm 5ft7ish and a size 14.

Does anyone have any that are genuinely comfy and don't feel too hard/need wearing in?

The Hush Nova ones look nice - can anyone recommend?

Hi OP I can recommend these from Baukjen - I have just ordered my second pair !

www.baukjen.com/products/organic-stretch-dungarees-washed-indigo

I am not king in the body so can't vouch for that but there are plenty of reviews !

I ordered the Hush ones and a more expensive pair from Toast last year and the Baukjen were so much more flattering the Novo were too wide legged to suit me . (12-14 pear shape)

Hope that's helpful !

Fat Face Lewes! I have two pairs and they're the comfiest things I own, surprisingly flattering too. I'm long in the body too and find these ok, although I do have to let the straps just about right out. I tried some from White Stuff which looked lovely but were way too short in the body.

Lucy and Yak atlas are (for me) everything that you describe I wear mine at least once a week.

Shinyandnew2022 · 28/09/2022 12:47

Ooh yes I looked at the ones @stickybear recommended too. They look great as well- maybe the Baukjen ones are a bit shorter on
The leg .
I saw there is an extra 15% off on Baukjen today so same price as fat face ones if you wanted to try a few !
I forgot to say last night I loved the Toast ones but were soo wide in the leg for me - they were also too long in the body and I had a droopy crotch so might be worth a look though the prices are steep .

Thanks so much everyone! I do like the look of the Baukjen ones but they're a bit dark in terms of a colour for me. I really like the colour of the Hush ones - that's the kind of thing I think I'm looking for.

The atlas ones look lovely actually but they seem to be sold out in my size, in fact in most of the sizes, which is probably a good recommendation! I think I've tried the FatFace ones before, in a darker wash, when I bought some from Next last year. I honestly can't remember why I returned them but presumably they didn't quite work for me 😀

@Shinyandnew2022 I think I'm about the same size as you – what size did you order in the Novas? Were they the same width all the way down the leg, if you know what I mean? Or were they more wide at the top then tapering a bit?

@Laquila they were a 12 and just looked so unflattering on my shape they were quite wide all the way down really emphasised my pearness ( appreciate you may not have that issue!)
Here are some cropped pics of the Hush and the Baukjen for comparison ( know you want lighter than the Baukjen ones)

I would also recommend Lucy and Yak atlas. They have the leg shape you are looking for.

Ahhh so useful @Shinyandnew2022, thank you!! I'd be delighted if you could photograph and review literally everything you buy, this is v helpful to me 😁 I might order a 12 and a 14 in the Nova and see what I reckon. I do like the for of the Baukjen (they look really great on you) but in my head I have a pair of almost stonewash light denim ones, a bit baggier in the body/round the waist than those and certainly less slim in the thigh. Onwards!

These are the FatFace Lewes - I got them in the sale this summer. Very soft and comfy. I sized up one size from my usual.

@Laquila happy it helped !
I am clearly invested in you finding your perfect dungarees !
Interestingly the Baukjen ones are quite a different fit to my existing pair in black - and longer in the body which isn't great on me but they are so soft and comfortable.
I think you would soon get bored of me posting photos I buy far too many clothes !!
@EllaPaella looks fabulous in the Fat face ones

I have these, bought in their sale which is still running. Good weight, straight leg and very comfortable to wear www.mangooutlet.com/gb/women/dresses-and-jumpsuits/denim-crop-dungarees_17003642.html?c=TM&n=1
