Maternity legging recommendations

randomlovemore · 26/09/2022 18:58

At 27 weeks pregnant I will be thoroughly embracing the leggings + oversized jumper trend this winter! I've got a couple of pairs of maternity leggings from Next but they're baggier than I'd like.

Any recommendations for good quality, thick, over-bump leggings please? Preferably ones I can order online rather than trekking round the shopping centre.

Thank-you!

Love leggings

When I was pregnant (long ago) I simply got normal non maternity leggings in very large sizes and wore them back to front. Wasuch cheaper and more choice.

I rate the H&M ones!

Emotionalmessy · 26/09/2022 19:14

I’m same boat, cant seem to find any and the ones I would prefer are always out of stock. I got the love leggings ones but they shrink and the band only goes over half the bump and now have bubbling on the crotch area 🙄

H&M, I lived in them for most of second and third trimester! I got some from love leggings having read loads of recommendations for them on here but they were awful quality, bobbled and came apart at seams within a fortnight.

I'm 28 weeks and brought George's regular leggings 2 for £10 I got a size up and still have loads of room they are nice and thick too so perfect for chilly days!

Elodie741 · 26/09/2022 19:24

I found just sizing up in normal leggings better than maternity leggings I’m 31 weeks now and still find my size 14 maternity leggings too big but normal size 16 leggings fit perfect

Postpartumreset · 26/09/2022 19:25

Pricey, but I really rated natal active. Still wearing mine now, 12 weeks pp...

Moomoo2o22 · 26/09/2022 19:25

They also fit perfectly over my bump.

The Jojo Maman Bébé ones were far and away the best that I found. Properly thick and warm and completely opaque.

They're expensive but I LOVE my Seraphine bamboo over-the-bump maternity leggings (have to be the bamboo ones). They're so soft and comfy. I've bought four new pairs for each pregnancy and basically don't wear anything else.

alittleadvicepls · 26/09/2022 19:43

Maman Jojo Bebe!!!!! Can’t speak highly enough of them! They’re so thick and don’t slide down. Wash nicely and don’t shrink. Two pregnancies later and I’ve tried H&M, ASOS and Next.

randomlovemore · 27/09/2022 09:12

Thanks everyone! I need a few pairs so I'll try a selection. JJMB seem most popular, they don't have any plain black ones on their site but loads on Vinted if anyone else is looking!

George do a pack of two maternity leggings for £14. They're very generously sized, I had to go down a size.
