Any thoughts on Moda in Pelle?

I have taken a firm stance against brands I've only heard of because of their FB advertising, which are invariably disappointing for the price/against their pictures Saint and Sofia but I can feel myself getting sucked in by Moda in Pelle boots...

My friend will only wear Moda shoes! Says they're the best brand for the price :)

Comfyslippers74 · 26/09/2022 15:03

I had some nice, good quality boots from them a couple of years ago. They're a sensible company and definitely not a fly-by-night only on Facebook company. In fact they have actual shops and aren't just online.

Justmuddlingalong · 26/09/2022 15:08

I've got a couple of pairs of shoes, one flat, one heels. Really comfy and well made. I've also got a few bags. They're a bit different and really well made. Full price, Moda in pelle are worth it. But their sales are brilliant.

They're too narrow for me

BarbaraofSeville · 26/09/2022 16:23

Where are you in the country. To me they're an established brand with lots of shops around, but I've just looked and they're only really in northern England, which might explain why you've never heard of them if you're elsewhere.

Maybe they're looking to expand? Is there a shop nearby that you could visit to see the boots IRL?

Lulibee · 26/09/2022 16:24

I read that they come up very narrow which is such a shame.

Cyclingforcake · 26/09/2022 16:28

They’ve got a real shop in my town. I can fit into their boots but the shoes are always a bit narrow.

LadyPoison · 26/09/2022 18:42

I used to buy loads from them when they had a shop in Bath. Sadly it closed a few years back.

Coming up narrow is a big plus for me

HuggyWuggy · 26/09/2022 18:45

They've been around since before Facebook since the early 2000s. I remember visiting one of their stores back in 2004!

SallySailor · 26/09/2022 18:48

Coming up narrow has persuaded me to give them a try. That's exactly what I need.😀

SewhereIam · 26/09/2022 19:08

Moda in Pelle have always been good. I used to love their store in Ilkley. Definitely not a fly-by-night company.

Don'tknowwhichnametopick · 26/09/2022 19:14

Sell on WVC 60 day returns.

Wallabyone · 26/09/2022 19:15

Proper company but unfortunately all the shops round here (London), have gone. I've had some good sandals from there and they're leather and have lasted well.

ToooOldForThis · 26/09/2022 19:18

There used to be a good big store in Glasgow (actually could still be there I don't know!). I ordered trainers for work online last year and they have been great, comfy and lasting well.

TheOGCCL · 26/09/2022 20:33

Moda in Pelle is an established brand. QVC sell their shoes. I think House of Fraser used to stock them too. I’m south so don’t see their shops a lot (think I went to one in Leeds once). Three of my all time favourite pairs of shoes came from there, good quality and I have narrow feet so usually a good fit. I do think some styles are a bit too ornate (Italian?), lots of gold etc.

TheOGCCL · 26/09/2022 20:34

To add I ordered some boots from there this month and returned them. Refund issued in a week.
