Where are the jeans

Where can I find jeans that fit nicely for, quite frankly, a bloody awkward shape.

I'm a size 16 - well, I have more things in this size than any other but you know what shops are like for different sizes. I've got a couple of 14s and a few 18s but generally a 16.

I cannot find any jeans that fit me properly though. My tummy is AWFUL following an emcs and I now find that jeans that fit my tummy are too baggy in the leg and feel wrong or if they fit in the leg, they're too tight round my tummy and make tops look awful.

Any hidden gems of jeans options...?

Having the same problem -baggy on the legs but too tight on the tummy it’s ridiculous the only thing I can suggest is going round to different shops and trying on different styles even in one particular shop you can get several styles
I have a River Island pair that fit nicely , I think I’m going to try new look M&S next and a couple of other stores and just spend an afternoon trying on different jeans to find the style and brand that suit me -everyone’s body is different you need to go and try stuff on x

I'm not the same size but I think I might have the same problem with being loose on the leg but ok on tummy or vice versa.
☹️ Don't think I can even blame that one on pregnancy.
I had to send my ones back from Dorothy Perkins.
Haven't found any yet that fit really well!

It's really frustrating me to be honest.

Even more so because getting out to try them on is difficult with a bloody grumpy DS in tow.

And don't get me started on stores that have started charging for returns now if you order online.

I've done the rounds of anywhere local to me - supermarkets, matalan, next, peacocks. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and brave the Trafford centre aren't I?? ☹️

What stores charge for returning?

@purpleme12 boohoo and zara charge. Next are charging to collect which isn't an issue but I guess others will follow suit soon enough.

How are you supposed to know if they fit till you try them on?!!

I’m a 16 too, and quite short. I’ve just bought one pair of slim and one of skinny in M&S’s Lily shape - they have a smaller waist and a bit of stretch all over, so they actually fit all the bits of me, including being slim on my legs - I usually go for tapered trousers to fit round my hips and tummy but still follow the natural shape of my slimmer legs. I’d recommend them.
