I am interested in buying a garment steamer.. has anyone any recommendations ? Either a handheld or free standing? Thank you

Hi I got a Tefal hand steamer in the end...it works very well but you definitely still need iron to do collars..I m very happy with it...it has a hanger for over the door too.

Can I ask what all you garment steamer experts use as the liquid? I've been using tap water - clearly a disaster as it got all furred up and chalky. Distilled water seems a real faff to make. Can you use ironing water? TIA.

I use ironing water in mine. It's a Phillips green one. It's great for most things but some things like cotton shirts are better ironed
