Anyone seen any nice black boots which could be worn with skirts and jeans?

Can't seem to find any 😫

All black boots can be worn with a skirt or jeans!

Fo you want Gucci or Sainsbury? Tough or dainty? Plain or fancy? Heels or flat? Office or dog walk? Keep forever or sell next Spring?

And where do you usually shop?

Weaselstoatferret · 25/09/2022 14:54

No Gucci unfortunately but happy to £150ish. Usually look in M&S, Zara, H&M but nothing catching my eye.

General school run and work wear (casual office) and shopping/Park at weekend type wear so flat and not too fancy.

£165 but 10% off with first order

I have these, they are supremely comfortable, wear well ( mine are going into their 3rd winter and look great) and look fine with rolled up jeans/ under wider jeans and with skirts.

Shops are swimming with black boots at this time of year! What is it that you’re looking for? Is it a particular type of boot?

ChilliPB · 25/09/2022 15:10

Or, what’s not appealed to you about what you’ve seen so far?

keeprunningupthathill · 25/09/2022 15:14

I got these from dune (annoyingly not reduced!) which are super comfortable and good with dresses and jeans.

Millions. I'm on the hunt for a very specific type of black boot and can't find it. What type do you want?

Xiaoxiong · 25/09/2022 15:16

I bought these in brown last year and wore them to death. I'm considering buying them in black this year as well.

I've got these in brown, had them a couple of years , pre Covid in fact, and ordered them on Friday for dresses/jeans. 25% off too.

I suppose I don't really know what I am after which is part of the problem.

I guess probably lace up, chunky, nice looking leather (not too shiny), silver hardware not hiker style. Not too high up the leg either which seems to be the trend this year.

Thanks for your help so far everyone and making me think about it further.

Doc martens. I have the 6 eyelet black boots for work which are a little lower than the normal 8 eyelet ones so they look a bit smarter for work

gertrudemortimer · 25/09/2022 16:30

I've just got some Barbour Chelsea boots mine were £135 from John Lewis. My other boots are from dune's have a look at their online shop they have hundreds of black boots!

Lindy2 · 25/09/2022 16:36

I like Rocket Dog for boots. They always seem to have a great range of styles.

How about these? I’ve heard good reports of this brand.

Derbybound2022 · 25/09/2022 16:38

I went into London yesterday looking for heeled ankle boots. I couldn't find anything nice and was shocked that the average pair were about £150!
