I had a thread about eyeliner - couldn't get it to stay on - and mentioned trying some other make up. So thought I'd update.
The Doll 10 gel liner is excellent, it has survived the gym, the shower and also a proper "crying with laughter" fit today as well. The only thing is, I have never used that kind of liner and found it took longer to apply, not easy like a pencil. Not easy to use in the morning rush. So I'd like to keep it but not sure I will.
I also tried a Laura Geller set. I normally use Doll 10 foundation. Tried the Balance and Brighten but it's not really buildable or you look powdery?
Tried a blusher in that set. Haven't worn that for years as I seem to have got a bit red in the cheeks over the years. I noticed that it made me look perkier. But maybe a bronzer is better. Blusher makes a really obvious made up look on me, Ifeel.
Loved, loved, loved the kajal eye pen as a liner or shadow, it was that attracted me to the set, but the shade included isn't quite dark enough to use as a liner. Gorgeous as an eyeshadow.
I could send the Doll 10 back and get a black kajal. It has great staying power too, though I wasn't at the gym that day.
I found the marble lippy weird, much paler than shown in the demo. The spackle - literally couldn't see what it was meant to do.
Definitely sticking with Doll 10 foundation, I'll be stuffed if they stop making it. I tried Tarte and it was excellent but didn't agree with my skin.
Going to try a cheapo bronzer and see if it gives a bit of extra. I'll end up on Beauty hoarders at this rate.
planning to get hair highlights so hopefully looking a bit brighter than usual in winter! Make up seems rarer at work post lockdown, otherwise I'd be tempted to experiment a bit more.
