I am looking at a bag on Vinted. It's a Topshop black faux leather backpack. Around what price would you pay for this bag?

People do buy things just because they're from Topshop. Even if you could get something identical for cheaper elsewhere. Same goes for places like Zara.

I’m sorry but they don’t. Top shop is the cheap end of the High st;Zara is actually different.

£0 zip zilch nada

pictish · 23/09/2022 21:05

If I really liked the bag and thought I would get actual use out of it, I would reasonably pay £20.
I don’t think its market value would be £20 but it might be worth it to me.

I searched for Topshop black backpacks on Vinted. There are about 250. Are you sure there's not another one the same? Show a photo... we can help!

Riverlee · 23/09/2022 21:37

I wouldn’t buy it.

I'm sorry, but they do. Or did when Topshop was on the high street. I know plenty of people who did.

@Plump82 but Topshop was always one step above Primark. In other words, cheap

I agree but I happen to know a fair few people who held Topshop very highly. I don't get it myself but these folk would be desperate to get their hands on new releases etc. Queuing up to get them. Just recently there's been talk of Topshop coming back (from what I've heard from them) and the excitement is ridiculous.

YennefersDress · 24/09/2022 09:28

Topshop was never as cheap as Primark though was it. It was still lower end of high street but not Primark standard.

I remember buying some really nice things in there in the early/mid 00s, decent quality for the price too. Some lovely coats/shoes/boots and dresses. They always tried to be more fashionable and cool than other places, I remember his popular the range they did with Kate Moss was.

I was still buying their Jamie jeans until recently when they disappeared and only exist on ASOS these days.

NiqueNique · 24/09/2022 12:14

Topshop was in a completely different league to Primark. In price as well as style credentials.

HairyMothballs · 24/09/2022 12:15

£3.48

VanGoghsDog · 24/09/2022 12:21

If the letters come off, can you remove them all? It might worth a pound then.

HappyHamsters · 24/09/2022 12:22

EBay has loads of Top Shop backpacks starting at 99p
