Make up tips for Winters

If you are a "Winter"
Please can you tell me what make up works for you?

I've been revisiting my colouring recently and I'm definitely a Winter. Not a Dark winter, but probably a mix of cool winter and bright / true winter I think.

I'm white and my skin is cool toned and tans easily. My eyes are light green and my hair is dark brown. I look best with contrast eg dark eyebrows, colour on my lips etc. The completely no makeup natural look doesn't work for me unfortunately.

I used to use bronzer but keep reading that Winters should avoid. Do you Winters use bronzer? I look ok without but find I like the contouring effect of it round my temples etc.

I've been using grey or navy eyeliner instead of brown, black mascara and pink blusher and pinky eyeshadow or cool lilac. I need lipstick as I look like death without it, and find that bright fushia, candy pink or even Barbie pink works best. All cool (blueish) undertones.

What should I do about bronzer? I worry if I lose it altogether my face might look flat.

Does anyone else have any other make up tips for Winters?

I’m a winter and I use bronzer every day, I use a Charlotte tilbury one that comes in a duo with a highlighter. I look dead without it because I’m so pale 😂

I have a bronzer which I do use in the summertime when I am a bit tanned but its more of a blush highlighter bronzer, I'm much more about the blush and to give a bit more of a pink colour to the cheeks.

I'm a bright winter ( even though I now have blonde hair) and I find bronzer is fine if it's got some grey in it, as it gives a slightly more natural contour. Benefit Hoola is just right for me. I have a cheap Revolution CT dupe for actual bronzing which is a bit warmer.

I'm the same as you in that I go for dark brows, minimal eyeshadow and a strong lipstick. The thing that made the most difference to my face was actually whitening my teeth - means I can wear nice strong reds and coral/hot pink without worrying my teeth look yellow in comparison. I also often wear quite bold glasses so a strong lipstick colour ( I nearly forgot myself and said ' a bold lip' there!) balanced that out.
