Other Stories wrap cardigan

This may be a bit specific, but just wondering if anyone has one of the wrap cardigans from &Other Stories, and what the sizing is like? The website says they run big, but I find their sizing SO inconsistent I don't know whether to trust it Grin

Gorgeous cardigans on there OP I love that grey wool overlap one ❤️ Waiting to hear about sizing too !

I have one!! I'm usually a M in other stories, am a 12 in other shops but have big boobs so tops can be tricky.

M fits well but looks slightly "oversized", I've kept it and wear it but if I'd have wanted a more fitted silhouette I'd have gone S. I also struggle to wear it under a fitted coat so maybe would buy a S if getting another one.

Hope that helps!

Ah brilliant, thank you! I'm an 8-10 and distinctly flat of chest. I'd usually order an S but if it comes up oversized I might go for an XS.

Yeah I'd defo go xs if a 8-10

So funny, I was just looking at the wrap cardigans, the £45 ones that come in multiple colours. They are polyester which I usually avoid but I love how they look. Are they very hot and sweaty and uncomfortable?

Randomuser9876 · 20/09/2022 15:15

I can get itchy with wool so decent quality polyester is a plus for me.

They are thick and warm but I wouldn't say sweaty!! Probably not ideal if sat by a fire in a pub but great for other autumn and winter based eventualities.

I live in Yorkshire though so, like Prince Andrew, rarely get to a sweaty stage.

I have it and I have a love/hate relationship with it. It does indeed run large, but because it's quite cosy, it's also quite THICK and doubled up on your waist, it has a waist-thickening effect.

I look like a can in it because I don't have a big enough bust or hips to balance it out. If you are flat-chested like me, that's somthing to watch out for.

I do like it, but I don't feel attractive or polished in it. If you have an hourglass figure it might work better.

I have one of these - the polyester one - in black from last year and don't love it. I actually do find it sweaty, and I'm in Scotland. I agree with pp saying it is a bit clunky at the waist. At the same time I got a similar one from Cos in pale grey wool (very off-duty ballerina) and it is so much nicer for only a little bit more money.

I'm a 10/12 and got S in both.

stickybear · 20/09/2022 16:23

Hmm interesting. I'm in the south west so sweatiness could be an issue! I'll have a look on Cos

Thank you from me too about the honest reviews! My middle could also be more defined so I think I'll skip the &Other Stories wrap.

The COS one looked lovely but it's clearly last year's stock and only xs's remain 😩

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/09/2022 20:31

Ah, shame re Cos, it really is lovely. They did it in pale pink too which was very, very ballet-dancer and I still kind of regret not buying.
