Wide fit, low rise trainers

I’m after a pair for autumn. I just want some every day trainers (preferably not too sporty looking) that are wide fitting and don’t come up too high at the back. I struggle getting shoes wide enough and when I do they invariably rub at the ankle. Any suggestions?

Wide fitting as in literally a size X wide?

or just a generous width shoe in your standard size?

what size are you looking for? Just wondering if you have any special things to consider - like I’m a size 9 which makes my hunt even more joyous. Not.

and are you wanting these for just walking, running am or general wear?

Ha no problem. I’m a size 4. Super wide but generally a standard wide is ok in trainers as they’re relatively generous/stretchy. Am after something like a Stan smith style although not fussed about brands, for every day wear. Not running!! I’ve got allbirds which are ace except for the rubbery bit at the back that rubs, can seem to win!
