What do I need to search for?

I want to get a long black coat but don't know what criteria to put in when searching. It's the king of smart coat that you see people wear at remembrance parades, possibly made of wool? I'm also a size 20 so there a number of shops that don't go as high as that which is frustrating. I keep finding more casual style ones but I'm specifically looking for something appropriate for remembrance, funerals etc.

I'm sure this is really basic but can't for the life of me think.

Try searching for City or Melton coats.

'wool belted coat' ' ladies wool coat' or similar - add in the colour or size and see what comes up. Search for 'button up' if you don't want belted etc...

I find searching for wool coats brings up as much 'wool look' fabric as real wool so you get a range of pricing.

Otherwise I find it easiest to look in the types of shops I know usually sell them, such as Jaeger, Whistles, French Connection, John Lewis, Mango and just filter in those websites for colour/size/price.

Search pure cashmere coat on Ebay. Had some fantastic bargains!

Thanks for the suggestions. I still haven't quite managed to find what I wanted but do have a couple coming to try
