Chie Mihara T Strap Shoes

I’m looking for something similar to these www.farfetch.com/uk/shopping/women/chie-mihara-80mm-t-bar-leather-pumps-item-18803188.aspx?storeid=9596 but not as £££ given I wont wear them very often.

Has anyone tried this brand? I spent a couple of hours searching last night and not found anything similar. Rubbersole had a couple of styles in my size that were slightly cheaper.

I had an accident a few years back and struggle wearing heels. Thought these might be ok as have a small platform and are supposed to be comfortable. I’m fed up of wearing trainers or ankle boots with dresses, want something nicer for going out.

I would like something in black, budget around £200/50.

I've not tried them myself but am aware of Chie Mihara as making well constructed and comfortable shoes, with some interesting and slightly unusual styles.

A quick search on eBay shows 75+ Chie Mihara black shoes for sale, and Vinted has over 30. Might be worth taking a punt on a nearly-new pair to test how your feet handle it, especially if you won’t be wearing them day in day out - much lower cost per wear!

Esska's Charlie sandal is similar and is super super comfortable. Comes in lots of different colours. I highly recommend. esskashoes.com/products/charlie-velvet-black

I’ve still got Chie Miharas I bought more than a decade ago. Treated nicely they last! Came on to say Esska but someone’s already beat me to it. Also look at ME+EM and possibly Billies ( French brand but with a London store/online shop), Daniels (online) the Outnet & Lyst.

Thanks everyone. Just had a quick look on eBay but nothing suitable in my size at moment, but will keep checking.

I’ve been eyeing up the Eskka’s for a while, but after something with a closed toe as may wear with tights.

John Lewis stock the pair I like, so might order and try.

I has a pair. They were gorgeous. I ended up selling them because I never wear heels anymore. I've got a pair of Esska sandals too and I'd say they're similar in style and quality.
Keep an eye on ebay, Vinted etc for Chie Mihara.

I have a pair of slightly similar Chie Mihara x Toast shoes from a couple of years ago. Love them. Really comfortable. I also have one pair of the Charlie Essaka sandals- also really comfortable to wear. I have a fused ankle and both styles with the platform sole work well for me.

That’s good to know. I broke my tib and fib and have poor ankle mobility due to the screws in there,. I’m telling myself this will be an investment!

I love Chie Mihara shoes & boots. They are beautifully made and comfortable (for heels). Can you try to get a discount code for them somewhere? I love the style you chose btw!

MsDastardley · 20/09/2022 12:32

Thanks you Nolosomi. I will keep looking and see if any discounts come up within the next couple of months. I think I am set on them now!

@MsDastardley did you buy your shoes? In the sale at John Lewis now. I tried on the red ones yesterday but they were half a size too big and they don’t do them in 3.5. I came on here to see if there were any similar styles/ brands. Like you I want a closed toe to wear with tights. Round toe and a platform. Esska are just a bit too chunky/ block heeled for me.

I did try them but were too high for me. That brand measure heel height from centre side, to actual height 2cm higher than described. I also tried the red but they were really big, would have needed to go down a full size.

I’ve ordered a lower pair direct from Chie Mihara, but a bit worried they will look like childrens shoes. They’ve been dispatched so should be here soon

I quite like the new Esska Chaza, but they have been out of stock for ages, otherwise I would have ordered a pair.

Let me know if you find anything. At this rate I will be wearing ankle boots again
