If you wear midi dresses & skirts, what non-frumpy jacket or coat will you wear this A/W?

Trousers don’t suit me & I love midi dresses and skirts, planning on pairing them with DMs & chunky cardigans.

But the length makes coats tricky now the weather is turning. I don’t want to look frumpy. I have a leather jacket but its not very warm and won’t work in winter.

Any ideas please?

I also wear midi length dresses and skirts in Winter with chunky Chelsea boots. I have an &OtherStories puffer coat which comes down to the length of the dress for really cold weather or wear a shorter jacket/ chunky cardigan. I agree you can't wear a thigh length coat it just doesn't really work.

How about that as a jacket on reasonably cold days but when it's absolutely freezing add something like this.......

Obviously you'd need to find a jacket and gillet that co-ordinated a bit better but it's just an idea of what might work.

Really flexible too as you then have 3 options depending on weather/outfit
