Outdoor event, outside for about 4 hours. Looks like it will be about 14 degrees and cloudy. What can I wear with this to keep me warm? I don't suit biker jackets!

Ooh that's lovely. No advice sorry.

pawkins · 17/09/2022 17:38

I’d wear a long coat tbh.

RuthW · 17/09/2022 17:38

It's long sleeved so I would wear anything. Maybe a wrap just in case

bravotango · 17/09/2022 17:39

Long coat or chunk boxy cropped cardi?

MichaelAndEagle · 17/09/2022 17:39

Long belted coat.

CaramelTwirl · 17/09/2022 17:39

A blanket

buttons123456 · 17/09/2022 17:40

Blazer
Thick cardi
Thigh length coat

mynameiscalypso · 17/09/2022 17:40

I'd wear a mannish style blazer.

Whataretheodds · 17/09/2022 17:41

How smart do you need to be?

You could just wear a coat over the top.

If not, wear a long sleeved thermal top and long slip, tights socms and boots?

A sleeveless chunky longline knit over the top? Or chunky cardigan in a mustard of white.

PestorPeston · 17/09/2022 17:42

A slip, or thermal vest and woolly tights.
snood ?

TokyoSushi · 17/09/2022 17:43

Thanks for the quick responses! It's for the races, but in the least formal part so not too fancy!

Leather jacket, suede jacket, nice chunky knitted cardi or long black one

Augend23 · 17/09/2022 17:45

Races outside I would just wear a coat if you have something that isn't a pack-a-Mac?

AnneShirleysNewDress · 17/09/2022 17:45

Polo neck underneath. Tights and boots.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/09/2022 17:46

Leather jacket. Vest underneath.

GroggyLegs · 17/09/2022 17:46

Assuming you're not moving much and the 2 hours is into the evening...
Long sleeved base layer, cycling shorts/ chub-rub shorts.
Long Coat.
I'd take my gloves too tbh.

We were sitting out at the cricket in similar temps last night & it was cold. You can always take a layer off!

MelodyPondsMum · 17/09/2022 17:49

I'd opt for a blazer and scarf, or a coat.

Moon22 · 17/09/2022 17:58

I'd wear a poncho

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 18/09/2022 07:43

Long trench coat

Tractordiggerdump · 18/09/2022 07:58

Thermals underneath and a long black cardigan

YeahThanks · 18/09/2022 09:58

A trench coat.

limitededitionbarbie · 18/09/2022 09:59

Tights and a long gilet with knee boots

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/09/2022 10:09

Missed that you didn't want a biker, sorry. In that case, maybe a cardigan on top or a thermal underneath, plus a bright (unfastened) trench coat and a scarf.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/09/2022 10:10

And whether you're just sitting or moving around will make a difference, as somebody said below. If just sitting, you could take a blanket! Grin

LadyEloise1 · 18/09/2022 10:13

M&S do lovely light but warm, long sleeved thermal vests.
