Hi all

Could someone recommend some smoothing lotion for my kind of hair.

A hairdresser said I could benefit from maybe a mousse to put in when it's wet to help with the curls or a smooth serum for when it's dry when I've straightened it but failed to tell me what to actually get and I'm clueless!

I tried the wonder water that I saw recommended on this post but I don't really see any difference.

Kind of just looking for a fool proof just put it in and leave it as I'm useless with blow drying and styling etc!

Any easy tips appreciated xx

Stop straightening it and use a deep conditioner once per week. Best advise my hairdresser ever gave me. I've had frizz free hair ever since.

L'Oreal extraordinary oil is great, apply on damp hair and just leave it.

Have you tried an air dry cream? I’ve not yet but have had them recommended to me as they don’t fry with that crispy feeling you get with mousse or salt type sprays.

Have you tried the curly girl method? I would check it out- it’s about stopping using sulphate based shampoos that strip your hair of moisture (to do this you need to stop using silicone containing conditioners/ products). It’s hard to tell how much of a curl you have from the pictures but would avoid anything too heavy. Maybe try only curls- the curl cream and gel? They have videos/ tutorials on the website on what to do with them too.
