Superdry scarf & gloves - present for 14 year old girl?

I am looking for a present for a 14 year old girl who I don't know that well. She seems to have a skater sort of look about her but her style is quite eclectic and I can't figure it out. I don't know any other teens. She feels the cold. I am told she's just bought a black hat. So I was going to buy black scarf/snood and gloves. I came across these and liked them, and liked the fact that they're not totally black so not too sombre, but I see that according to mumsnet Superdry isn't well regarded by teens? If they were not branded I'd go for them as I think she'd like them. What do you think of the items I've linked to, please? Any tips?

Wow if you don't know this 14yo that well I wonder why you are thinking of spending almost £50 on her. Who is she to you? I think the gloves are plenty unless it's your dd. Ds1 had Superdry gloves once and they were really nice and lasted well.

Get her an ASOS voucher, kids that age like to choose their own stuff.

That's quite a lot of money for a present for a teen you don't know well.

Gloves and a scarf might seem an easy option ("everybody likes / needs gloves and scarves")

It's many years since I was 14 but although I love gloves and scarves even at 14 I wouldn't have particularly liked these. I really, really like fingerless gloves (other people think they're weird) but I've always disliked man made materials. I don't like snoods.

So although "everyone likes/ needs gloves and scarves" , I think you have to be a bit more sure they do and what sort or it's quite a lot of money for a present which might end up being re-gifted.

Black hat, scarf and gloves is very matchy matchy?

At 14 and if she’s a skater I doubt very much she’d wear super dry - it’s seen as a young brand and chavvy by that generation, I would strongly advise against getting her anything from a brand

Yeah Superdry isn’t really known as a skater brand. My daughter isn’t a skater but has a slightly eclectic style and loves Urban Outfitters and Hollister

Thank you for the advice. Decided. I’ll go another direction. Maybe a voucher and some chocolates.

A voucher is better I think, the snood and gloves don't look anything special/aren't overly nice and I imagine will more likely than not get very little use so it's an (excessively expensive) gamble.

No need to spend that amount I don't think. It seems a bit odd directed from someone who doesn't know her well and is potentially more than what the average close friends and family will spend.

I don't think Superdry is a safe bet for a teen. My 15 year old DD has very different taste (all crop tops and fake eyelashes 🙄) but says it's only Gen X that wears Superdry these days!!

What about some toiletries or a voucher for Lush/Body Shop?
