Wide toes

Any tips for finding flat boots for wide toes, normal sized heels, flipper-shaped feet I suppose! Tried some lovely DM style wide fit boots from clarks today and they were too narrow :(

I have quite wide feet and strangely enough George @ Asda shoes are always comfortable! I tried a few pairs of their black chelsea boots on last week and they felt really good! Also New Look and Dorothy Perkins do a wide fit. I've had Clarks 'wide fit' in the past and could barely get me big toe in!
