Thinning hair, need to stop tying it up, how do you wear yours?

I always either tie my hair up, either messy bun or held up/half down. I have fine hair but lately I've noticed the sides are looking very thin, and I think this is probably from being tied up too much.

BUT if I tie it further down or looser, it really doesn't suit me. It only suits me with it tied up and away from my face.

A middle part doesn't suit me.

What shall I do? Just grin and bear looking like a potato to save my hair?

same problem, I'm using claw clips instead of elastic hair ties now and hoping that helps as it's not tied back so tightly

Im having the same problem so will be following for some suggestions. I always wear my hair up as well.

I've started taking biotin as I read this can help, no idea if it's true and it's too early to tell if it works.

Frustrating isn't it!! Wearing it down today. Although it's raining which won't help either way.

The other problem with fine hair is I have to wash it every day. Which perpetuates things!

I’d try a loose French plait and a thickening shampoo

Get your iron levels tested. Ferritin needs to be 70 plus for hair. Ferrous sulphate available from chemist.

You need to get to the bottom of why your hair is thinning. Unless you're wearing it up in a very severe Vicky Pollard face-lift style, there is no reason for that to be causing the thinning.

Check your diet and take a multi vitamin if you don't already.

Thanks everyone.
