Dermatica - anyone subscribe?

I saw Dermatica mentioned on another thread by a woman with amazing skin. I'm looking into it for myself now as I've mild skin problems and I'm intrigued by the online offering and monthly supply.

Anyone got experience of it? Is it easy to cancel if I want to cancel the contract?

Thank you

Does anyone use tret for pure anti age purposes? I have v clear skin. I have noticed no difference ,but my presc is for anti age.

I use tret for anti ageing. I’m a long term user and my skin has very few lines and none of the discolouration that can come with age. I’m late 60s.

I use it solely for anti aging. It is not an immediate over night thing but I'd say within the month my skin had a different , softer , more glowy appearance.
I will also say I can't attribute that to tret 100% because you also have to be prepared to up start a good skincare regime.
I look upon it as a gift to myself.

KittyCatsby thank you. What would you describe as a good skin care routine please.
?
I cs7ndatleanse. Then tret. Then moisture at night.
Am i cleanse. Moisture . Spf.
If that enough ?
I also use good genes , sunday riley once a week.
I also use imedeem.
Given that tret is 20 pee month and imedeem 30 pm , id have to watch the pennies on any additional skin care, but would be keen to know about any fantastic products in case i can afford them please!
Great to know its working for you .

I don't want to jump the gun but this is very promising!!! I'm almost a week in and I genuinely think my skin is improving!

Apart from some light dusty flaking on my chin/jawline, I haven't had any reaction but... on close inspection, my pores/bumpy looking skin seem to be no more?? I never thought I had acne per se that's the treatment they recommended, I suppose it it way less enflamed looking ? I've been wearing SPF50 every day too.

So far so good!

When you all say your skin looks amazing now what exactly had improved?

I'm 48 with very few wrinkles but noticeable sagging in the jaw area. Will tret help with that?

Twooforjoy, I'm a week in as well and a having similar experience to you. Very light flakiness on forehead and chin. Skin felt a bit dry and tight for the first few days but much better since I started using a layer of moisturiser under and over the tret. I'm using it every other night and will continue doing that for the next week, then maybe add in one extra night a week

Oooh you are in the same boat! I'm not using tret. I didn't know if I had rosacea or mild acne. I basically has skin with grubby looking pores but my skin never looked 'clean'. I'll check the ingredients tonight but it's definitely acne medication I've got.

I also feel a bit tight/not quite moisturised properly, I just need to keep tweaking the moisturising bit I think Smile

Putting moisturiser on , wait 10 minutes , then tret then a really good moisturiser at least another 10 minutes or before bed ( I use lrp cicaplast b5 ) is known as sandwiching .
if you are using it for anti aging , the goal is glowy , fresh looking , less wrinkled skin.
100% possible with tret.

I've been using Dermatica for 3 months or so now for Melasma on my forehead. I'm happy that it has really smoothed my skin out on the rest of my face too. The melasma is not completely gone yet, but much improved. Probably not helped by a hot summer, despite the factor 50 spf.

I was having acid peel facials every 6 weeks, and this keeps my skin looking as fresh as that. And I use 2 pumps of cream most nights and still don't use it all in 4 weeks.

What is in the prescription for melasma @LadyDanburysHat? I use skin and me and have had great results on acne, scarring, ageing from tret and azaeliac (sp?) acid and niacinamide. I asked about something for a melasma patch on my forehead and they have upped the tret %, I hadn't heard of tret as treatment for melasma.

@Schoolchoicesucks it's currently

  • Tretinoin 0.025% and hydroquinone, but changing to niacinomide next time.

My cream is Adapalene .1% Niacinamide 4% Azelaic Acid 4%

I've started reacting on my neck, really dry patches and red blobs. The dry patches make my skin look all pulled! I wasn't really putting it on my neck - if I did it's been a very small amount.

Will persevere!

Is anyone on a similar mix to mine?

Hey! Just thought I'd check in with an update and see how you all are doing?

My formula has been changed and I've now got 0.015 Tret in it. I am not reacting to it, although I am only a few days in. But there is really no reaction.

They sent some samples of Azeliac Acid cream 20% which I am also using in the morning only. Thst make my skin crazy tingly, it's nuts! - but only for a few minutes and then it's completely gone. I'm using spf 50 every day too.

I'm really excited to see the results of Tret. My original formula 100% cleared up my clogged pores and my skin looked so much smoother, but the flaking was bad and I felt I'd traded one problem for another - I was using my Dermatica cream once every three days and moisturising a lot.

So yea - here goes Tret! The main thing is how simple it all is?? I'm amazed I've just taken on and established a routine that I actually stick to!

My whole life I've been trying to get on top of my skin but skincare has always been a complicated plan of action that ever really made a difference.

I’ve been subscribing to Dermatica since June 2020 and have had comments on how nice/ageless my skin is. Bearing in mind I’m 46, and have had spotty and now wrinkly skin, it’s quite miraculous. There’s a lot of stuff I’d give up first before this if I end up needing to cost cut. Customer service is great too.

I have now been using it since January 22 and my skin for me personally is perfect. I have the rosacea treatment, Ivermectin 1% Metronidazole 0:75 and Niacinamide 4%.
My daughter said today that my skin is looking so good 😊

Hope it works,I had been using soolantra but kept having flare ups(this latest one is 8weeks now!)

@ellebelli hope it works well for you. I still can't believe the difference in my skin. I showed my hairdresser the before and after photos at the weekend and she couldn't believe the difference.
I had a tube of Metronidazole from the doctor but I didn't like the texture and it was ok but no where near the Dermatica results.

I've been using Tret for about 2 months and just about to finish my first tube. My skin has tolerated it pretty well - around 2 weeks of mild flaking and tightness at the start, only minimal flaking on and off since then. Currently using every night, loads of moisturiser under and on top

I'm about to start my second, stronger, prescription (0.025% tret, with niacinamide and azaleic acid). Will go back to using every other night, and load up the moisture, as I did first time. Should I expect similar in terms of flaking and tightness for the first few weeks?

Report
ellebelli · 09/11/2022 10:43

Once my rosacea clears can I then request a cream with tret in? Or is this something they do automatically for you?
Or because I suffer with rosacea is this the treatment I will always have to use?

Hi - I'm a couple of weeks into Tret, low dose, 0.015 I think. My side effects is skin looking a bit enflamed, a bit like I'm about to have a breakout! It says it's normal on the product sheet, but wondering if you had that too, and if you're seeing results now?

I definitely seem to need to sneak up on my skin with this stuff. As I said above somewhere, I was on a different formula that was really great but caused so much dryness/flaking I'd really just traded in one issue for a (less bothersome) new one.

They definitely review and change formula - some treatments are for an effect to clear up/get a condition under control, and then you switch to a maintenance approach. So I'd imagine it could be possible!
